How to Survive a Rush Order (While Eating Chocolate..)
It happens - you plan and plan for an event or promotion, and you forget one of the most important things: the back wall for the booth, or the giveaways to put in the swag bag! At eXpo Branders, we get calls like this almost every day (yes, EVERY DAY!). Sometimes it's an in office ball drop, and sometimes it is because an unknown online supplier dropped the ball. That is where we jump in and make it happen!
In all of the rush orders we handle, a few issues tend to arise that we thought we'd pass on. Hopefully this will help the next time a rush order arises, so all goes as smoothly as possible:
- Is your art ready? It will be the first thing we ask you. If it isn't ready - we will need it FAST, and if your team is not able to put it together that quickly, we recommend you pass the job onto our design eXperts to get it done.
- Do you know what back wall, banner stand or giveaway item you want to order? With a rush, there isn't a minute to spare, and going back and forth on item and size, and then price, just won't work. We understand there can be a lot of decision makers behind the item, but these decisions need to be made quickly..
- Do you know where it is going? We will need ALL the details about the destination of your order: Venue, booth #, contact person, receiving times, etc.
- UPS OOPS: While we typically don't have issues with Fed Ex or UPS, they are far from perfect. We do recommend allowing at least one day's leeway for all orders coming from our plants outside the area -- just in case! We are not responsible for an order not being delivered due to a shipper delay.
That's about it! If you have your art ready, you know what you want and you know where it needs to go, your rush order should run as fluid as a fountain in Italy (did I mention we deliver there, too?)! See you for your next unplanned rush order!

In our video, Connie explains the following:
Rush orders can be a nail-biting ordeal. One of our customers had a big staff conference, and his shipment did not arrive on time, so we had a two hour window to come up with a solution. Thankfully, we're local, so we have a chocolate supplier that jumped in to help. We printed and labeled a ton of the most delicious salted caramels and delivered them to the conference just in the nick of time, within two hours. We know things happen, but you can trust that at eXpo Branders you have a team that cares about your company, and we will do whatever we can to save the day.
